  • BIMEO Membrane Biogas Upgrading container plant

    MEMBRANE BIOGAS UPGRADING

    Produce high-quality biomethane from raw biogas with BIMEO's modular ValorGas® membrane systems, using Evonik SEPURAN® Green technology. The process combines high methane recovery with low energy consumption and can deliver both biomethane and a concentrated CO₂ stream.

  • H₂S REMOVAL

    Protect downstream upgrading, compression and liquefaction equipment with ECOTEC’s biological and regenerative chemical desulphurisation technologies. Unlike systems that introduce air or oxygen directly into the biogas, ECOTEC removes H₂S without adding O₂ to the treated gas stream, helping preserve gas quality.

    BIOGAS & BIOMETHANE COMPRESSORS

    Oil-free reciprocating compressor systems from Fornovo Gas for biogas, biomethane, grid injection and CNG applications. The technology protects gas purity while reducing oil consumption and supporting efficient, reliable operation.

    CO₂ LIQUEFACTION

    Recover and liquefy the biogenic CO₂ separated during biogas upgrading. MachOne technology can turn a residual gas stream into a valuable product for industrial, food-grade or greenhouse applications, subject to the required purification specification.

    AIR & ODOUR TREATMENT

    Control odours and treat contaminated air from biogas plants, wastewater facilities, composting sites and industrial processes. Solutions are configured around the specific air flow, contaminant load and local emission requirements.

    Convert biomethane into liquefied biogas — also known as LBG or Bio-LNG — for heavy transport, maritime and industrial applications. Modular liquefaction technology creates a transportable, energy-dense fuel from upgraded biogas.

    Reduce ammonia emissions from digestate treatment, wastewater facilities and industrial exhaust streams. NH₃ stripping and scrubbing systems support regulatory compliance while creating opportunities to recover nitrogen for reuse.

    HOFOR — Damhusåen Wastewater Plant, Copenhagen

    ECOTEC and BIMEO won the HOFOR tender to upgrade biogas from Copenhagen's Damhusåen wastewater treatment plant. BIMEO's valorGas® membrane system (Evonik Sepuran® membranes) delivers biomethane directly into the city gas grid. Flow: 600 Nm³/h · CH₄ >99.5% · CO₂ stream >99% purity.

    BioCirc — Grønhøj Biogas - Desulphurization for Permanent CO₂ Removal

    BioCirc — one of the world's leading biogas producer — selected Ecotec's dBiox® biological desulphurisation technology for their pioneering permanent biogenic CO₂ removal programme at Grønhøj, Denmark. The dBiox system treats 900 Nm³/h of CO₂ off-gas, reducing H₂S from up to 5,800 ppm to below 50 ppm — a critical requirement for downstream CO₂ liquefaction. Part of BioCirc's ambition to capture 140,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually across five Danish biogas plants from 2026.

    Vireo AS — Lista & Hardanger, Norway

    Following a competitive multi-supplier tender, Vireo AS selected Ecotec's Q-REN regenerative chemical desulphurization technology for two new biogas plants at Lista and Hardanger. Plants convert organic residues into renewable gas for industry and transport. Commission: 2026 and 2027. Flow: 1,750 Nm³/h per plant. Green Gas Solutions supports the projects commercially and technically throughout development and implementation.
